Rachel Roth, also known as Raven, is the daughter of the demon Trigon, and was destined to release him onto Earth. This caused her to become a superhero, to do as much good as she could to make up for the evil she was to release. She overrode her destiny, however, and defeated Trigon with the help of the superhero team that she helped to form, the Titans.
